Hi, I’m Brent Hubbell.

As a Piano Performance major, I always sought a piano in top condition to play. While pursuing my Masters Degree in Musicology at the University of Tennessee, I apprenticed with Dennis Mayhew, the Steinway dealer in Knoxville, TN. I found learning the trade of piano tuning and service allowed me to maximize my piano’s abilities while satisfying my desire to work with my hands.

Throughout my 25+ year career in full-time church music ministry, I always maintained a side business of piano tuning, service and repair. I am an active member of the Piano Technicians Guild and have been tuning and servicing pianos in the Triangle area for over 20 years.

I look forward to transforming your piano into its best playable condition!

What people are saying . . . .

“Brent’s tuning for the concert we had last week was so good that no touch-ups were needed, either after the rehearsal or at intermission!

Thank you for an excellent job!” —Richard

“Brent tuned and fixed some keys on my grandmothers’ piano from 1951 that was passed down to me. He took his time to make sure every key felt and sounded perfect. He even took the time to educate us on our piano as well since this is our first time owning a piano. An added bonus was getting to hear him play it beautifully once it was all tuned. Highly recommend Songbird Piano Service.” – Elena
