Condition evaluation - $135
Evaluating a used instrument before purchasing is a very important step in the process. This evaluation includes complete inspection of all parts of the instrument, including strings, soundboard, action, keys, pedals, and pinblock. After the evaluation is complete, We will provide a verbal report on the instruments condition using a Poor/Fair/Good/Excellent system for each component.
Appraisal - $200
Written appraisals can be performed for selling, buying, or tax purposes.
It is important to note - due to IRS law, Songbird Piano Service can only provide appraisals valued up to $5,000 for tax purposes. Appraisals in excess of that value can be performed by Songbird Piano Services, but can not be considered appropriate documentation for taxes. You must contact a Certified Appraiser for that documentation.
